Overview
CARDALIS® contains two active ingredients, benazepril hydrochloride and spironolactone, in a ratio of 1:8 respectively. CARDALIS® is supplied as brown oblong half-scored flavored chewable tablets. Benazepril belongs to the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor class of drugs. Spironolactone, and its active metabolites, act as specific aldosterone receptor antagonists. Both ACE inhibitors and aldosterone receptor antagonists act on the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.
