Prescription Safety
Prescription Verification
For prescriptions uploaded through our website, we take reasonable steps to confirm the prescription is valid and authentic before dispensing. This may include contacting the prescribing veterinarian or veterinary clinic directly to verify the prescription details. Prescriptions will not be dispensed until the pharmacy is satisfied that the prescription is appropriate, complete, and valid.
Pharmacist Support
Counselling on New and Repeat Prescriptions
A pharmacist is available to provide counselling on all new and repeat prescriptions. This may include information about proper use, dosage, possible side effects, storage, interactions, precautions, and what to do if a dose is missed. Patients or caregivers may request counselling at any time by phone, email, text, or through our website. Where appropriate, the pharmacy may contact the patient or caregiver directly before dispensing or delivery.
Non-Prescription Care
Counselling on Non-Prescription / OTC Medications
A pharmacist is available to answer questions about non-prescription and over-the-counter medications, including product selection, proper use, safety concerns, interactions, and whether veterinary or medical advice may be needed. Some non-prescription products may require pharmacist review before sale or delivery.
Complaints & Concerns
Complaints Procedure
We are committed to addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner. Complaints or concerns may be submitted by phone, email, text, or through our website. All complaints will be reviewed by the pharmacy team and, when appropriate, by the Designated Manager. We will make reasonable efforts to respond, investigate the concern, and take appropriate follow-up action where needed.
If a concern cannot be resolved directly with the pharmacy, patients may contact the Ontario College of Pharmacists:
